These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Tafsir AI mobile application and the tafsir-ai.online website (together, the "Service"), operated by KUMU Studio LLC ("Tafsir AI", "we", "our", "us"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. The Service is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly permit their use.
What the Service is
Tafsir AI provides AI-assisted interpretations of dreams drawing on classical Islamic sources — including Muntakhab al-Kalām fī Tafsīr al-Aḥlām attributed to Muhammad ibn Sirin, and the writings of Ibn Shahin al-Zahiri. The Service is provided for reflection, educational, and entertainment purposes only.
The interpretations are generated by a large language model and are not religious rulings (fatwa), medical advice, mental-health advice, financial advice, or a substitute for consultation with a qualified scholar (ʿālim), imam, physician, or licensed professional. You should not rely on any interpretation as authoritative guidance and should seek qualified counsel for any important personal, health, spiritual, or financial decision. And Allah knows best.
Your account
You can use the core dream-interpretation feature as a guest. If you choose to sign in with Apple to sync your dream journal, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your device and Apple ID and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at kamil@kumu-studio.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
Subscriptions and payments
- Tafsir AI offers optional subscriptions that unlock additional features. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store under Apple's Standard EULA and terms.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.
- Refunds are handled by Apple according to its policies. Requests: reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Free trials, if offered, convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
Acceptable use
You agree that you will not, and will not permit anyone to:
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or the rights of others
- Submit content that is unlawful, hateful, sexual, harassing, deceptive, or that infringes intellectual property
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, extract, or scrape data from the Service (other than as permitted by law)
- Circumvent, disable, or attempt to interfere with any security, rate-limiting, or authentication feature
- Use the Service to build a competing product or to train a machine-learning model on our outputs
- Use automated means (bots, scripts) to access, query, or extract from the Service
User-generated content
Content you submit to the Service — including dream text you enter or dictate — remains yours. You grant KUMU Studio LLC a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process, transmit, and store that content solely to operate the Service and provide interpretations to you (including transmitting the content to our AI providers as described in the Privacy Policy). We do not sell your content, we do not use your dream content for advertising, and we do not use it to train external models.
Intellectual property
The Service, its design, its software, and the Tafsir AI name and logo are owned by KUMU Studio LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, no rights are granted to you.
Third-party services
The Service integrates third-party providers (Apple, Supabase, Anthropic, Cohere, AppsFlyer) as described in the Privacy Policy. Their services are governed by their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
AI disclaimer
Interpretations produced by the Service are generated by AI and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. AI outputs are not reviewed by a scholar prior to display. You are responsible for your own decisions and for verifying any information with qualified sources when it matters.
Religious content disclaimer
Tafsir AI references classical Islamic dream-interpretation literature, but the app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or reviewed by any religious authority, madhhab, or Islamic institution. Interpretations reflect classical text mappings synthesized by an AI model and should not be treated as a fatwa, religious ruling, or authoritative spiritual guidance.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, or accuracy. To the maximum extent permitted by law, KUMU Studio LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 50.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law, or to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will do so.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version is indicated by the "Last Updated" date and takes effect when posted. If we make material changes, we may notify you within the Service. Your continued use after the update constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to KUMU Studio LLC's place of registration, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence.
